Privacy policy

Short and simple: Zibko collects nothing about you or your child.

Effective 23 October 2026

In short

1. Who we are

Zibko is a personal project of Marko Divjak (DivjakLab). Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) he is the controller for everything described on this page. You can write to him at kontakt@zibko.app.

2. What the app stores on your phone

Zibko remembers, in the app's own storage on your phone:

That's all. It keeps them so everything is set up the same next time. These settings say nothing about you or your child, stay on the phone, and nobody but you sees them. To delete them, uninstall the app or clear its data in your phone's settings.

The unlock code is made up on the spot when you need it and is never stored.

Voice recordings (planned for a second version)

A future version will let a parent record a lullaby or a story in their own voice inside the app. Then:

If we ever wanted to change this, we would update this policy first and ask for your explicit consent before anything changed.

Phone backups

If your phone has backups turned on (iCloud or Google), the system may include app data, and so these settings, in them. That is between you and Apple or Google; we have no access to those backups. You manage backups in your phone's settings.

3. Permissions

4. Ads, analytics, tracking and third parties

Zibko has no ads, analytics, crash reporting, usage measurement or any third-party libraries that collect data. We sell, share and transfer no data to anyone, including outside the EU, because we have none.

Once Zibko is on the App Store and Google Play, you will download it through Apple or Google, who process data under their own privacy policies. They may show developers aggregate, anonymous figures (such as the number of downloads); we have no access to data about individual users.

If you have allowed your phone to share diagnostics with app developers, Apple or Google may pass us anonymous crash reports. That is a system setting on your phone and you can turn it off at any time.

5. Children

Zibko is made for babies but used by an adult, who sets it up, starts it and unlocks it. The baby only listens and watches. Zibko collects nothing about the child, so no parental consent under Article 8 GDPR is needed and no child's data is ever processed.

Zibko is designed to meet the stores' rules for apps made for children (the App Store Kids category and the Google Play Families policy): no ads, no analytics and no data transmitted of any kind.

7. Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, objection and data portability. Because we hold nothing about you, there is usually nothing to show or delete, but you are welcome to write to kontakt@zibko.app. You can lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner of the Republic of Slovenia (ip-rs.si) or the data protection authority where you live.

8. Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be published on this page with a new date. If we ever wanted to start collecting any data, we would ask you clearly first; it won't happen without your consent.
